1. Symmetrical drawing of a vase/pot 2. Heavy oil pastel / wax crayon in shades of Blue to cover image.3. layer of white paint on top . 4. scratch designs to reveal blues underneath.

- Portraits - Discuss history of portraits and fact that portraits often depicted something about the person / way of life etc - Observe 'poses' for portraits See powerpoint
- Students select an artefact that reflects their personal values / what is important to them. They decide on a 'pose' with their object, for a photograph.
- Photocopy lightly . Look at patterns, colour,shading etc to build up portrait in pastels, chalks, paint, crayon, charcoal.
- Students to create a caption that depicts their Art work .
